The Rare Breed Transitional Living Program (RBTLP) provides a longer term housing option - up to 18 months - to homeless youth ages 16 through 21. The housing and services provided through the RBTLP help youth make successful transitions to independent and self-sufficient living. The RBTLP also serves pregnant and parenting youth.
RTBLP living accommodations consist of a cluster of 7 supervised apartments. Prolonged success at the cluster apartment site will make a youth eligible for their own subsidized single occupancy apartment in the community.Youth are required to engage in program activities, education, employment, or community service for 40 hours each week. If employed, youth are also required to save money.
